Guinea

To honor the sacredness of water coming from one of three faucets associated with the newly established Wings of Hope well installation, a little Ditinn girl took off her shoes before filling her small plastic bucket above the cement flooring. Other villagers have expressed their gratitude for the fresh potable water rising from the depth of 210 feet with Amens. Great joy has come to the people of Ditinn in Guinea with this well installation and distribution of free water to the local villagers.

A storage room on the ground floor of the well tower will eventually hold bottled water that with its sale to wayfarers passing through the village will help

sustain the cost of maintaining the well. Wings of Hope President David Weeks is not only grateful for individual donor gifts but also for the financial support given in a partnership with the Rotary Club of Central Africa. Plans are already in motio

n for the installation of another Guinean well in the village of Kongola, whose people have been suffering with water borne parasitic diseases.

Kenya

In order to prepare for the construction of the Osiligi Hospital in Kenya, Wings of Hope has contracted with the Build Health International nonprofit based in Beverly, MA for a campus plan. The 3-D projections will demonstrate how the present Osiligi Dispensary for maternal care and the Osiligi Community Health facility already housing a dentist office, vision office and pharmacy will be connected to the planned Osiligi Hospital and other future buildings with covered walkways. To provide financial support for this Osiligi Medical Center campus plan as well as helping to contribute to the installation of the Kongola, Guinea well, donors are encouraged to visit the Wings of Hope website at www.supportwingsofhope.org.
