Guinea
Well Installation
Guinea Current Update
Wings of Hope has made a significant difference in the quality of life for the villagers of Ditinn in Guinea. Collaborating with the Rotary Club of Central Africa, Wings of Hope has brought fresh ground water free of parasites to villagers with the installation of a water well. Three faucets for public access have made this water available to the local people in this rural community. A water distribution center is presently being constructed for the purpose of generating revenue for a local well management team from the sale of bottled water to motorists and others passing through the village. This income will ensure proper well maintenance and sustainability for the future. Funds are being sought to support another village well installation that will provide its people with health giving water for personal consumption, livestock and plant irrigation.

Access to Sanitary Drinking Water
Parasites in surface water and waterborne diseases have caused great suffering to impoverished people. Drilling for fresh water and making it easily accessible has been health giving to people in need and has eased the burden on those who have had to carry it home from distant water sources.
The Wings of Hope Global Cooperative is pleased to partner with N’Mah Keita and her daughter Aicha’s “Wells of Hope Africa,” to provide the resources to support a water well installation in Mangata and also to other localities in need of healthy fresh water in Guinea. In addition to these water related projects, the construction of a medical clinic is planned.
Project Overview
N’Mah Keita and her daughter Aicha founded Wells of Hope in 2020 with the installation of a village well in Guinea. N’Mah Keita has joined the Wings of Hope Global Cooperative Board and with her daughter will continue to promote the Wells of Hope mission to provide healthy water to other villages in Guinea. The Wings of Hope Global Cooperative is fortunate to have the civil engineer and project management experience of Yaya Doukoure as the on-site project manager and will work with local Guinean contractors on well installations that will range in cost between $5000.00 and $10,000.00.
