Female Empowerment & Gender Educational Equity
Support Educational Sustainability
Supporting Educational Opportunities For Women
Climate change and natural disasters have had a devastating impact on the communities of people nestled in the scenic valleys of the Karakoram mountains. Flooding has displaced people from their homes and the marginalized have had to suffer with mental and physical health concerns. Although advances have been made by organizations to improve education and skill development, especially with youth, more resources are needed to allow for the realization of individual potential and societal wellbeing.
The future educational, economical, and environmental challenges need to have well educated and skilled local people addressing them. Community engagement can be greatly improved by gender equity in education that recognizes the value of all youth as resources. Females have particularly been challenged in reaching their potential when their formal education has been curtailed by marriage at an early age.

Project Overview
The Wings of Hope Global Cooperative values the cultural integrity of the people in Northern Pakistan and seeks to use its resources to promote the welfare of disadvantaged and displaced people as well as support gender equity in education to advance the potential of all people in local communities. Wings of Hope plans to work with an organization connected in the Nagar region of Pakistan to provide for the physical needs of children, mental health counseling and vocational skill training to young residents.
Wings of Hope also plans on supporting funds for nursing scholarships to girls aspiring to enter the medical profession. The Wings of Hope Global Cooperative will partner donors with specific students seeking nursing and high school scholarships. In this way, donors will be able to get to know the student(s) they are supporting and learn how the students have applied their medical education and training.
